Lost Radio Rounders, the Eddies Award-nominated

Masters of acoustic Americana, Lost Radio Rounders will present classic spirituals, street corner gospel blues and front porch folk hymns, 7:00 pm Thursday, May 1, 2025 in the Old Chapel of McKownville United Methodist Church 1565 Western Avenue, Albany, New York.
Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.
The event will mark Lost Radio Rounders ninth pairing with Family Promise since 2016, and its return to McKownville United Methodist Church over 15 years after launching a charity concert series there.
“We love the acoustics and atmosphere of the old chapel so much that we recorded a live album, ‘Heaven’s Radio,’ in that space in 2012,” beams lead vocalist and bandleader
Lindsay.
“All of us in the group admire Family Promise’s efforts and Executive Director Mary Giordano’s drive,” he adds. “We are always happy to partner with such a great team and use
our music to help others.”
Established in 2015, Family Promise of the Capital Region helps keep homeless children and their families together, offering the support they need to achieve lasting independence. Its staff and hundreds of trained volunteers work with existing social
service agencies and faith communities to provide shelter, food and case management services. This community-based approach allows the families to connect personally with people throughout the Capital Region, growing their network of support and maximizing opportunities for finding work and affordable housing. The goal is that families will secure housing and gain financial stability within three to four months, eventually achieving full independence. Family Promise of the Capital Region continues to provide guidance and support to families for an entire year after they have secured their own homes.
